Gallery NB brings art to the square.
Thursday 29 April at 12-16, a crane truck and craftsmen placed five very large concrete podiums and five unique pots on Sct. Mathias Torv in Viborg.
Large impressive, photogenic and very beautiful works of art, each with their own unique artistic storytelling, will thus adorn the square for three months.
It is Gallery NB, which during the Corona closure, decided to move the originally agreed sculpture exhibition to Viborg's newest square. The reason is due to the previous corona restrictions, which in January and February prevented the public from visiting the gallery. Therefore, the artist Vilmantas Marcinkevicius and Thorkild NB Nielsen agreed to postpone his large-scale solo exhibition from spring to autumn.
Instead, they chose to focus on the erection of the five large ceramic works of art on Sct. Mathias Torv outside Galleri NB.
The hope for the exhibition is that the city's citizens and guests will meet art in a new setting. At the same time, the photogenic works can animate everyone to spread the message of the city's richness on cultural experiences.
