Michelle and Uri Kranot
In the beginning of their animation carrier, Michelle and Uri Kranot's work has expanded itself beyond what is traditional. Their art spreads into a territory of experimental genres and unknown medias. They fusion handcrafted motives and new technologies into modern experiences.
In threir present works, they continue testing the borders between immersive art and animation.
The Kranot's are founders of TinDrum, an animationbproduction company where they contribute as producers and creative instructors in ANIDOX, with a focus on development and production of animated documentary films.
The 'Kranot's take part in Animationsværkstedet in Viborg in Danmark, where they maintain certain key positions. They firrst achieved acknowledgement with the film Black Tape, Hollow Land, How Long, Not Long and latest the VR-film installations Nothing Happens and Songbird.
They have been rewarded with the best rewards in their field for their works, hereby they were granted the Fipresci-price at Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Oscar® Academy Award Shortlist as well as the Danish Statens Kunstfond-pris for performing arts.
In the following years, Kranot have focused on making innovative collaborative projects across medias with the aim to strengthen the humane storytelling emotionally by showing depths and beauty existing within the physical and immaterial conditions that seem to connect us all.
Originally Michelle and Uri stems from Israel. Today they live in Viborg, together with their four kids.
